The Consultation Workshop: Advancing Agritech Innovation in Colombia is a collaborative forum powered by the Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP) of the Alliance of Bioversity International & CIAT, co-organized with the Secretariat of Economic Development of the Mayor’s Office of Santiago de Cali, the Cali Chamber of Commerce, Reddi Colombia, and ICESI University, with the International Italo-Latin American Organization (IILA) and Eatable Adventures as ecosystem partners, and funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The workshop will take place on September 8, 2026, at Universidad Icesi in Cali, Colombia. It will bring together a diverse mix of stakeholders—including universities and research institutions, startups and entrepreneurs, agribusinesses and corporate partners, innovation support organizations, investors, policymakers, farmer cooperatives and associations, and community representatives—to collectively assess the feasibility of emerging AgriTech initiatives and co-design mechanisms that respond to Colombia’s food and agriculture challenges and opportunities across its diverse territories.
