Britam Holding $BRIT is trading at its highest level since June 2015, up 141% year-to-date as investors bet on the insurer resuming dividends after a six-year drought.

Shareholders approved using KSh5.875 billion from the share-premium account to eliminate the holding company’s accumulated losses, which have blocked payouts. 

Management has indicated that the restructuring could support an interim dividend in 2026.
