Economic sciences laureate Elinor Ostrom believed in collaboration. She helped establish a “workshop” to bring experts in politics, economics and other disciplines together, to try and understand how institutional arrangements in different settings affect behaviour and outcomes.

“Working with colleagues located in diverse settings at various stages of their careers is crucial for making scientific progress,” she said.
