Project Title: Measuring Consumer response to Dairy and Plant-based products
Project Overview: Research to understand consumer response to Dairy and Plant-based dairy analogues. Focus on relative impact of texture manipulation thickness + mouthfeel and flavour sweetness, sourness, aromatics on perception of dairy yoghurt and plant-based yoghurt alternatives. Work in BSI’s advanced sensory lab with 18 booths, training/focus group rooms, and sample prep area.

Who Should Apply: - BFoodtech Honours degree minimum 2.1, or equivalent degree in Food Science or related discipline - Meets Massey’s Master of Food Technology entry requirements - English proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall if English not first language - Ideally experience with sensory science, human participants, or food choice behavior - Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
