The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme 2027/28 is now open to applicants from around the world.
The fellowship provides:
➤ HK$344,400 annual stipend
➤ HK$14,400 yearly conference and research-related travel allowance
➤ Support for up to 3 years
➤ 400 PhD fellowships available for 2027/28
➤ Open to applicants regardless of country of origin
You must be seeking admission as a new full-time PhD student at one of the participating universities in Hong Kong.
⏰ Deadline: 1 December 2026, 12:00 noon Hong Kong Time
The application involves two important stages: first, submit an initial application through the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme system to obtain your reference number, then complete the PhD application to your chosen university/universities. You can select up to two programmes.
