Dear Sir or Madam,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to express my strong interest in the Postdoctoral Fellowships (2026–2027) offered by the Jacob Blaustein Center for Scientific Cooperation (BCSC) at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
I hold a PhD in Agricultural Sciences, with a specialization in soil fertility, crop nutrient management, and climate-resilient agricultural systems. My research has particularly focused on phosphorus dynamics in soils, digital soil mapping, and the development of sustainable and climate-adaptive cropping systems. I have extensive experience working with international research initiatives and multidisciplinary teams, including collaborations with UNEP, AfricaRice, and JICA.
Given my background and ongoing research interests in sustainable agriculture, water management, and environmental resilience, I am highly motivated to contribute to desert research, particularly in the context of soil-plant interactions and resource-efficient agricultural systems under arid and semi-arid conditions.
I would be grateful for the opportunity to apply and to further discuss how my expertise aligns with the objectives of your program. I would also appreciate any additional information regarding the application process or potential supervisors.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to your kind response.
Yours sincerely,
Vololonirina Raharimanana
