Requirements
What We’re Looking For
4+ years full stack experience
At least 2 years in fintech or payments
Strong backend capability in Go or Spring Boot (Java preferred). Node.js or Python considered
Solid React experience for building functional, production-grade UIs
Proven experience integrating payment or banking APIs in production
Strong understanding of FX, settlement cycles, reconciliation and webhook handling
PostgreSQL and financial data modelling experience
Working knowledge of KYC, KYB and AML fundamentals
Experience deploying production services on AWS or DigitalOcean
⭐ Strong Advantage If You Have
Experience with stablecoins such as USDT or USDC
Background in cross-border, remittance or FX products
Worked with African banking infrastructure
Built multi-currency ledgers or double-entry accounting systems
❌ Not a Fit If
Your only payments experience is e-commerce checkout plugins
You have never worked in regulated financial systems
You need heavy guidance on system design
You prefer executing tickets over owning systems
This role is for engineers who think in systems, understand financial integrity, and want to shape the core architecture of a cross-border payments platform.
Bonuses
Salary band is 800k to 1.2M Naira

What You’ll Work On
You will help design and own critical payment flows including:
Payment initiation, FX conversion, routing, settlement and reconciliation
Integration with banking APIs, payment processors and stablecoin rails
Backend services for transaction processing, compliance checks and webhook handling
Internal dashboards and client-facing transaction tracking tools
Automation of operational and compliance workflows
Reliability matters here. Uptime, idempotency, audit trails and clean financial records are non-negotiable.
