The African Guarantee Fund (AGF) is a Pan-African financial institution dedicated to empowering SMEs by providing financial guarantees and capacity-building support, fostering economic growth and stability.
We are seeking a dynamic Group Director to lead our efforts in securing funding from diverse sources, ensuring AGF has the resources to expand its impact. This strategic role involves building strong partnerships, identifying new funding opportunities, and driving initiatives that unlock financing for African SMEs.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • Master’s degree in a business-related field.
    • 15+ years of experience in fundraising, ideally within a Development Finance Institution (DFI).

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute fundraising strategies, conduct market research, and analyse data to ensure a strong pipeline of funding opportunities.
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the fundraising team while overseeing grant writing and stakeholder engagement.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Management: Build AGF’s reputation, cultivate key funding relationships, and represent the organisation at external events.
