Requirements
Qualifications 🎓
University degree in Law.
Master’s degree or specialization in public international law, including IHL or IHRL.
3–5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.
Admission to the bar, magistracy, or a PhD is an advantage.
Experience working in government, the judicial sector, or relevant organizations is an advantage.
Strong legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.
Fluency in spoken and written English and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities 🎯
Provide legal advice on international humanitarian law (IHL), international human rights law (IHRL), and relevant national laws.
Analyze legal developments and guide the delegation on applicable legal frameworks.
Conduct research and analysis on legal issues and the Nigerian legal system.
Draft legal notes, reports, and working papers related to delegation activities.
Support dissemination and training activities on humanitarian law for specialized audiences and the public.
Build and maintain networks with Nigerian government authorities, the judiciary, civil society, and legal institutions.
Represent the delegation in meetings, workshops, and discussions with partners and stakeholders.
Provide legal support to operational activities and contribute to protection objectives of the delegation.
