ABOUT WAKAEAT
WakaEat is a food technology marketplace connecting consumers, restaurants, home chefs, and delivery partners to celebrate and expand the reach of African cuisine globally. We are preparing for a simultaneous soft launch in Lagos, Nigeria and the DMV region (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia), USA.
THE ROLE We are hiring a Senior Technical Lead to take full ownership of our platform's technical delivery ahead of launch. You will work closely with the existing development team, lead a structured handover, and drive the platform to production readiness across two markets.

REQUIREMENTS
3–5+ years in a senior or lead developer role
Full-stack proficiency — backend, APIs, integrations
AWS, scalable architecture, real-time systems
Mobile — React Native, Flutter, or native Android/iOS
Stripe and/or Flutterwave experience preferred
Fluent English required | French preferred

COMPENSATION
Probation (90 days): ₦600,000/month
Full-Time: ₦900,000/month (50% increase upon conversion)
Remote — Lagos (in-person when required)
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Full architecture review and technical ownership
Lead codebase handover and resolve outstanding issues
Backend, API, and integration development
Manage Stripe (USD) and Flutterwave (NGN) payment systems
Mobile app stability and release readiness
Mentor a small growing dev team and report weekly to CEO
Actively involved in Lagos & DMV soft launch execution
