Africa Tech Festival, the continent’s longest-running technology event, will convene its 29th edition in Cape Town in November, and has announced its first speakers.
Taking place on November 16-19, 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, Africa Tech Festival brings together the leaders shaping Africa’s digital future and the decisions driving investment across the continent.
Confirmed speakers include South Africa’s Minister of Communications & Digital Technologies Solly Malatsi, Google Africa managing director Alex Okosi, OpenAI Africa lead Emmanuel Lubanzadio, and Amazon Sub-Saharan Africa managing director Robert Koen.
They are joined by leaders from Africa’s telecoms sector, including Enzo Scarcella from MTN Group, Norbert Prihoda from Tunisie Telecom, and Daddy Yogo Ngbabendo from Airtel Africa.
“What stands out this year is the pace of collaboration across industries. Investment is flowing, partnerships are forming, and the leaders joining us in Cape Town are turning conversation into action on some of Africa’s biggest digital challenges. That’s the role Africa Tech Festival plays: bringing people together to get things done,” said David Monaghan, VP of Africa Tech Festival.
