Applications have opened for the fourth edition of the Accelerate Africa programme, which will kick off in Lagos in August.
Accelerate Africa is a founder-focused startup accelerator dedicated to supporting bold and visionary African entrepreneurs building scalable businesses that address the continent’s most pressing challenges.
Designed specifically for early-stage startups, the programme combines mentorship, strategic advisory support, operational guidance, and access to high-level networks to help founders transform innovative ideas into globally competitive businesses The 12-week programme selects a cohort of 10 startups, and assists them with five critical pillars considered essential for startup growth and sustainability – storytelling; people and operations; go-to-market strategy; product development; and fundraising.
Each founder receives one-on-one coaching, guidance from experienced operators and investors, and access to advisors with practical entrepreneurial experience in Africa. Participants also gain access to legal office hours, financial advisory sessions, technology support clinics, and business operations guidance.
Unlike many accelerator programmes, Accelerate Africa does not take equity upon admission, but after the conclusion of the programme – at a November demo day – founders may receive optional investment offers from the Accelerate Africa Fund and Future Africa. Pre-seed and seed-stage funding ranges from US$250,000 to US$500,000.
Applications are open here until July 26.
