Aum Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on deep-tech and IP-led innovation, has launched its second fund, Aum Ventures - India Innovation Fund II with a target corpus of Rs 750 Crore (approximately $80 million).

The fund will back Indian founders building IP driven, Innovation led companies,which have the potential to compete globally.

The new fund will primarily invest in pre-seed and seed-stage startups, with initial chequesizes ranging from $750,000 to $2 million and then provide follow on capital up toSeries A/B stages. Over its lifecycle, Fund II is expected to support approximately 25–30portfolio companies.

Launched in 2022, Aum Ventures has deployed around 30 million capital across 24early stage companies such as Skyroot Aerospace, Cosmoserve Space, Sanyark space, Azimuth AI, and Sharang Shakti, which was Aum Ventures’ defense tech bet was acquired recently by Deepinder Goyal’s LAT Aerospace.

Further, the firm has roped in Nisha Shah as a General Partner for Fund II. Shah in her previous roles has leadership positions for a large family office and has worked for venture capital and private equity firms while being with consulting firms.

Aum Ventures is an early-stage investment firm focused on deeptech and IP-led startups founded by Indian entrepreneurs. Its investment areas include spacetech, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, defence technology, and artificial intelligence.
