Bitget Wallet has opened pre-registration for the Bitget Dollar Card in South Africa, with the first 500 applicants receiving a waived activation fee and a randomised reward of between 2 and 200 USDC.
The early bird window opened on 24 April and closes on 6 May, when the card is scheduled to roll out to the broader South African market. Applicants must be South African residents aged 18 or over with completed Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification on the wallet, and must not have applied for or held any other card through their Bitget Wallet account. Eligible South Africans can apply through the Bitget Wallet app. The rewards will be distributed within three days of the draw. At current exchange rates, users may receive roughly R3,700.The Bitget Dollar Card is issued digitally through the Bitget Wallet app as a USD-denominated payment card for global spending. The card allows users to spend crypto directly from a self-custodial wallet at hundreds of millions of merchants, enabling everyday purchases such as groceries, travel, and digital subscriptions through seamless crypto-to-fiat conversion. Users fund transactions with USDC, which is converted to fiat automatically at the point of sale. Users can apply digitally and add the virtual card to their mobile wallet within minutes for online and in-store purchases. Cardholders also earn cashback on spending, separate from the one-off Early Bird reward.
