Nigeria's ride-hailing space has a new challenger. LOOP Ride, a new mobility platform built as a direct replacement for Uber, has officially launched.
The announcement was made today by the LOOP team, who confirmed that the LOOP Ride app is now live and available for download.
PH and Delta First, Then Nationwide
LOOP Ride is adopting a city-by-city rollout strategy, starting from Nigeria's South-South.
According to the founders, the service is launching first in Port Harcourt (PH) and Delta State (Warri, Asaba and environs), before expanding to other major cities including Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Ibadan.
"We built LOOP Ride for Nigerian riders and drivers. We are starting from PH and Delta because we understand these markets deeply, and we will scale to other major cities from there," the team said in a statement.
Why LOOP Ride?
LOOP Ride enters the market at a time when riders are complaining about surge pricing, high commissions, and safety concerns on existing platforms, while drivers are demanding better earnings.
LOOP Ride says it is fixing that with:
• Fairer Fares: No exploitative surge pricing. What you see is what you pay.
• Better Earnings for Drivers: Lower commission, instant payouts, and full control of their earnings.
• Safety First: Verified drivers, real-time trip tracking, and in-app emergency support.
• Built for Nigeria: Payment options that work for Nigerians, including card, transfer, and cash. The company describes itself as more than just another ride app — but a movement for fairer mobility, where drivers keep more and riders pay fairly.
Download LOOP Ride Now
The LOOP Ride app is now available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Riders in Port Harcourt and Delta can download the app, sign up, and book their first ride immediately.
Drivers are also being onboarded in PH and Delta, with attractive bonuses for early partners.
The LOOP Ride team says expansion to other cities will be announced in the coming weeks.
