Moroccan startup WATTSC has launched watt.ma, a platform for managing and monetising charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
watt.ma helps operators, site owners, businesses, and fleets to monitor their equipment, manage sessions, organise billing, and track the performance of their charging infrastructure. It brings the supervision of charging stations, session tracking, tariff management, transactions and revenue reports together in a single interface.
The platform uses the open OCPP 1.6J protocol, which allows it to work with different brands of compatible terminals, without requiring operators to use a proprietary hardware ecosystem. It also includes a live monitoring map and a QR code payment process designed around local payment solutions.
“The challenge of electric mobility is not just about installing charging stations. It also requires being able to monitor them, keep them available, facilitate payment and allow site owners to make their investment profitable. watt.ma was designed to provide this operational layer to the Moroccan market,” says Prince Marfo, spokesperson for watt.ma.
