Bitcoin was trading around $62,900, down from overnight highs around $65,300 on July 31. In another snapshot it was trading around $62,500 after losing more than 14.5% since the start of the week.

Bitcoin staged a sharp intraday turnaround, climbing from under $63,000 to peak at $64,913 before stabilizing around $64,500. This 4.2% gain pushed the total crypto market capitalization past $2.3 trillion.

Crypto transactions are shifting from informal workarounds into the same payment channels people already use daily.
