AI-native semiconductor verification startup VerifAIX has raised $5 million in a seed funding round co-led by Endiya Partners and Bluehill VC.
The proceeds will be used for product development, customer deployments and expansion of its engineering teams across the US, India and Israel, VerifAIX said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2024 by Madhulima Tewari, Kenneth Roe and Avner Landver, VerifAIX is building an AI-native verification platform for semiconductor design. It helps engineering teams verify increasingly complex chips with greater speed and rigor.
VerifAIX’s platform combines AI with formal methods to create a verification trust layer that connects design specifications, RTL and verification assets. This enables traceable verification from design intent to closure.
The startup’s “Formal Brain” creates a mathematically grounded understanding of a design and its intended behaviour. It reasons across specifications, RTL and verification assets to identify inconsistencies and gaps, and uses this foundation for verification planning, formal analysis, simulation, coverage, debug and verification closure.
VerifAIX integrates specification-to-RTL reasoning, automated decomposition and abstraction, and coordinated formal and simulation verification to tackle complex designs while maintaining traceability to design intent. It targets custom-silicon developers, including semiconductor and IP companies, processor and AI accelerator developers, hyperscalers and systems companies.
India’s semiconductor startup ecosystem is also seeing the emergence of AI-native verification platforms alongside the broader chip design boom.
Chennai-based deep-tech startup Vyoma Systems, incubated at IIT Madras Pravartak, is working on AI-driven pre-silicon verification through its UpTickPro platform. The platform integrates functional verification, FPGA validation, software bring-up and security analysis.
The development comes amid rising capital flows into Indian semiconductor startups. Companies raised $61.9 million in H1 2026, taking total funding since 2022 to about $206 million, according to a Speciale Invest and Startup Policy Forum report.
Recent funding rounds include BigEndian Semiconductors’ $6 million raise for its fabless SoC platform, while HrdWyr raised $13 million in Series A funding to develop AI-native SoCs.
