Yamify, a developer-first AI platform that lets freelancers and web agencies spin up AI stacks in under a minute, has secured funding from Launch Africa Ventures as part of its pre-seed round.

Founded by Luc Okalobé, Yamify is the “Heroku for AI tools in Africa”, and enables freelancers and web agencies to deploy GPU-powered AI tools from local African data centers in under one minute. Disrupt Africa reported late last year on the launch of Yamify, which had already secured early traction with fintechs and web agencies across Lagos, Kinshasa, Brazzaville, Johannesburg, and San Francisco.

It was launched with a US$100,000 investment from Felix Anane, an early backer of Paystack. The startup is raising a pre-seed round of funding and has now secured the first tranche of that from early-stage VC firm Launch Africa Ventures.

The funding will be used to help de-risk early distribution with partners OADC and Cassava AI.
