Requirements
What You Bring
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years in engineering management/leadership roles within fintech, banking, or regulated financial platforms.
- Deep mastery of distributed systems, APIs, Java-based enterprise platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong familiarity with global standards (PCI-DSS, SOC2, PSD2, Open Banking).
- Core Banking Expertise (Strongly Preferred): Experience working with or integrating into core banking engines like Apache Fineract, Finacle, Temenos, Mambu, or similar platforms, with a strong grasp of ledgering, settlement flows, and transaction processing.

The Mandate
You will lead cross-functional engineering teams (Backend, Frontend, QA, and Platform) to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient SaaS solutions. This isn’t just about shipping code—it’s about technical governance, microservices modernization, core banking integrations, and maintaining operational excellence within a highly regulated global financial services environment.
Key Deliverables
- Engineering Execution: Oversee sprint planning, roadmap commitments, and production releases across parallel SaaS workstreams.
- Architecture & Governance: Drive microservices adoption, cloud-native patterns, API standardization, and secure coding practices.
- Security & Risk Remediation: Actively track and remediate vulnerabilities and audit findings in close alignment with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams.
- Operational Stability: Enforce CI/CD quality gates, automated testing, and deep observability to minimize production incidents.
- Culture & Leadership: Mentor multi-functional engineering talent, building an elite engineering culture centered on ownership and continuous improvement.
