Women’s wellness brand Nua has raised $50 million in its Series C funding round led by Peak XV Partners and Filter Capital, with participation from existing investors Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures.

The round includes both primary capital and a secondary component, giving partial exits to Kae Capital, Lightbox VC and existing angel investors.

The Mumbai-based company has raised around $71.5 million so far, including $4 million (Rs 35 crore) in a pre-Series C round led by Mirabilis Investment Trust in February 2025.

The fresh capital will be used to strengthen brand building, expand distribution and reach, and invest in R&D and new product development, Nua said in a press release.

According to Peak XV, Nua has emerged as the second-largest online player in the women’s wellness category.

Founded in 2017 by Ravi Ramachandran, Nua offers products across period care, maternity care and everyday intimate wellness. The company says it now reaches more than 3 million women and girls every month.

Nua claims to have scaled its annualised revenue run rate from Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore in the past 24 months while remaining profitable.

It has also expanded beyond physical products with offerings such as the Nua Period Tracker App and SecretKeeper chat.

With the new funding, Nua plans to deepen its presence across women’s wellness and build a broader portfolio of products and digital services around the evolving needs of women and girls.

Nua’s $50 Mn funding round makes it one of India’s largest women’s hygiene startup deals, surpassing Pee Safe’s $32 Mn round in January this year.Nua competes with other notable players in this space, such as Whisper, Stayfree and Sofy, among others.
